Welcome to my photography blog and my first blog post. The purpose of this blog is to record my photographs and to write about various interests of mine, mainly photography, but also gear and blogging.

As an armature photographer, I enjoy many different genres. Currently, my main focus is on street photography which is a broad genre in itself. Many people have theorized about what street photography is, I find the most satisfying definition to me being any photograph that has people in a particular scene or evidence of people having been present at some point. This could be physical signs of someone such as impressions of footprints on the ground, or clothing or trash left behind. Street photography also records people and events occurring in our daily lives, it records life in our cities and in our streets. To me, street photography also includes portrait photography, urban landscape, and architectural photography. In addition to street photography, I enjoy architectural and Real Estate photography as well as landscape photography.

As many of us photographers seem to do, I have had several cameras over the years ranging from an Argus C3 vintage film camera, a Pansonic SLR film camera –passed down from father when he passed away–, several ‘point and shoot’ cameras, Nikon DLSRs — ASP-C, Full Frame and Nikon 1 — and now Fujifilm cameras. Each camera and manufacture offered different features and qualities that make each one special and all have been a joy to use. I plan on having blog posts specific to each of these.

The following are some of my resent Street Photography photos which I featured on Instagram:
